Urban Geography
This is a list of cities in Mexico by fixed population, according to the 2010 Mexican national census.Localities do not have separate governments, but are under that of their municipality. Urban localities, however, are what most people define as city since most municipalities in Mexico, like most counties in the United States, consist primarily of large rural areas in addition to relatively small amounts of urban land where the largest proportion of the population usually lives.
